Here, you will find all the information you need about Year Two at Ovingham CE First School.

Mrs. Bewick (Mon-Wed) and Mrs. Aldridge (Thurs-Fri) are the class teachers and Mrs. Finney is our full time teaching assistant.

Reading books

On Mondays, children bring their book bags and diaries to school. We use diaries to record progress in reading and to communicate further with families. Children take two books home to read throughout the week, one is a levelled reading book and one is a book of choice from the class library. We really encourage reading at home and are proud of the enjoyment our class take in reading for pleasure.

Water bottles

Children bring in water bottles on Mondays which are kept in school throughout the week and sent home on a Friday.

Wellies / outdoor shoes

We are fortunate to have beautiful grounds at Ovingham CE First School and we use them at every possible opportunity, whatever the weather! We ask that children have a pair of wellies or sturdy outdoor shoes that are kept in school for these occasions.

PE

We have PE every Monday and Tuesday. On Mondays, children bring their PE kit with them to school.  Our Tuesday session is delivered by the NUFC Foundation. We ask children to come in to school wearing their PE kit on Tuesdays. This should be a white T-shirt and black shorts or jogging bottoms with plimsolls for indoor and trainers (or outdoor shoes) for outdoors.
